Bond set for murder suspect

July 23, 2008

Bond was set at $250,000 today for the Warren Township man accused of strangling his girlfriend to death Tuesday. Noal D. Quattlebaum, 22, of 85 Lang Farm Road, appeared by video in front of Marietta Municipal Court Judge Janet Dyar-Welch around 1 p.m. The bond amount was requested by the prosecution. Quattlebaum did not have an attorney but indicated his parents will retain one for him. The case was continued to 1 p.m. Friday. Quattlebaum was arrested Tuesday afternoon after he went to his parents’ house in Waterford and reportedly told them he had killed 21-year-old Amber L. Wesley. Washington County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the couple’s Lang Farm Road residence where they found Wesley’s body. Quattlebaum was arrested at his parents’ house.
