The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Clarence “Clete” and the late Louise Simpson of Marietta, and the late DaCosta and Florence Smith of Weston, W.Va. She is a 1998 graduate of Parkersburg High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in communication from Purdue University in 2002. She is employed as an account executive at Parallax Communications Group in Indianapolis. The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Betty and the late Lacy McCarty of Francesville, Ind., and Leona and the late Harry Stockman of Hebron, Ind. He is a 1997 graduate of West Central High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in telecommunication from Purdue University in 2001. He is employed as a producer at Baxter Communications Inc. in Indianapolis. The ceremony will be held Oct.
