A relative of mine Had a crash, at night, on Benedict Rd. in Washington County a couple of years ago. The OSHP trooper, that responded to the call, had to travel from Macksburg to near Fleming, which took a while. He explained that he was the only trooper on duty in ALL OF Washington County that night. Think about I-77, US Rt. 50, State Rts. 60, 550, 7, 26, 555 and 339 PLUS all the county roads and having ONLY ONE TROOPER ON DUTY to cover that much mileage.

Donnabug....Their job isn't to help us get gas or change a flat tire....their job is to ensure our safety on the highway which includes them calling for assistance and staying with us until help can arrive. Everyone is so quick to judge when someone doesn't do for us what we think they should.

I would like to know when you saw a Highway Patrolman ever help you get gas or help you fix a flat tire ?? They tell you "I will call someone"
