Of course none of this would ever be an issue if employers viewed their employees with the same respect they demand for themselves. Minimum wage is fine for the entry level, unexperienced person. The problem is that many employers consider this the Wage Cap. Reward your best performers regularly and you'll make more money and have happier customers which will compensate for the pay increase without raising prices. Also important to remember that in hard times, if you expect your employees to take the hit then you should be willing to tighten your belt as well. Kudos to Ohio for not sticking to the Fed Min as West Virginia does. Maybe that's why your citizens are happier and more fruitful. Sound familiar?
