Business environment looking up downtown

January 12, 2013

When one downtown Marietta business closed its doors at the end of December and another announced it would soon follow, it apparently wasn’t a sign of distress downtown but an aberration....

Marietta downtown is beautiful and this is all exciting. Dr. Anderson is a blessing compared to the other major property owner who most are afraid to rent from. I am really excited about Marietta. I hope the bakery can improve with the good doctor's help.

I agree with the hope of a better bakery coming to town. I fondly remember theooey-gooey goodness of Brownies bakery.

It will be hard for any bakery to follow in Brownies foot steps. But good luck to the new bakery.

It's great to see downtown do good. It would do better if some of the regulations were lifted that limt the growth to fill even more spaces and maybe keep some that have left. Like not having to have a permit for a sidewalk sale and allow street vendors there is a list of many more that need cleaned up.

Stiffy, you sir are on a rollllllll!! "The church of anything goes" OMG, I will be laughing all day. Thanks for that......

Also, to the three trolls that disagree with "asknot's" comment on Dr. A working his backside off bettering this town, you are nuts and in denial. That man sees a profit in the long term for all of his investment, but more importantly, he sees the importance of bettering Marietta and is willing to put his "skin" in the game to get her there. For that I thank you.....
