What a story about nothing. The teachers will retire, collect their pension and be re-hired. It is called double dipping. This is already a regular occurrence. The school system gets an experienced teacher at a beginning teacher salary and the teacher gets two incomes. More power to them. If the systme allows you to do it, go for it.

Munster I think you already started the "ignorant yakking". :)

I would rather see the schools hire younger more creative teachers instead of the school hiring the same ones again.

So engineers to retire and are hored as consulting areno good either for double dipping.

And those poor teachers make so much on retirement they paid into, and get any social security cut by two thirds are no good.

They worked all their lives, some even second jobs, why shouldn't they be able to double dip or triple dip.

Jealous people are as stated below; ignorant yakkers.

It is OK with me if teachers double dip. This also gives the school system the ability to not hire the poor teachers back. Good teachers can double dip all they want. Poor teachers can enjoy their retirement. This is the classic Win Win.
