Preliminary work on a $1.6 million project to upgrade the intersection of Acme, Pike and Jefferson streets in Marietta could begin this fall, with completion scheduled in 2014....

At a time when we can least afford it, we certainly don't need to be spending 1.6 million on yet another useless project.

All the hoopla about the alleys that need repair . And we are going to waste money on something that is not broken. What part of this does not make sence ?
