Devils- I seriously doubt that had a thing to do with it. The E-check, if anything, made it easier to report your deer. Now we dont have to waste gas, money, and time taking it to the "nearest" station. I think there are many factors, which include weather, economy, more bow hunters this year, disease, coyotes, etc..

Deer numbers ARE down. EHD & predation by coyotes have done a number on the herd.

I seriously doubt the kill numbers were down. Look what the DNR did in regards to tagging the harvest. Instead of forcing the hunter to check the harvest at a station, we switched up to a phone call in or internet check. Duh!! Downsize the department & abuses will rise more than otherwise anticipated. Sorta sounds like other GOVERNMENT run programs
