The Rumpke crooks are in Marietta also, but the pickup rate is $15 a month for one garbage can. A few years ago they jumped the rate up from $10 a month for the same size can, 50% increase. Barlow Twp. they will do the same to you in 3 years.

It is hard to imagine anyone whining about paying lower rates. And, less truck traffic. How are these two items a bad thing?

I have sat through these meetings and watch the same bunch of people attack these trustees...shame on all of you. They are trying to do what is best for the community by saving wear and tear on the township roads and save the community money. This is the same group that always opposes the levy. Move it you don't like your community! You have nothing better to do than to keep it stirring. And as far as John Hanna goes, you should be ashamed of yourself referring to your employees as "dumb and dumber". You are the one that went door to door and spread misguided information about this trash service to keep these individuals stirred up. You are the one that is always going behind your other trustee to back stab them. If anyone should feel shameful...it should be you. I don't know how you sleep at night as many people as you have stabbed in the back. If our comminity is smart, they will not vote you back in office.

Since they can't pass a school levy, the "Bullies of Barlow" play paybacks!

I wonder what will be next for county residents, now that manditory trash pickup is in place.

Wow! It seems like a win/win situation for the Barlow are. Trash pick up is $35.00 in Devola! I guess someone is going to complain about change no matter what!

what do folks do with their trash if they do not sign up for the service? Everyone has trash. What is done with it when not picked up by a trash hauler?

IF YOU READ WHAT IS RECYCLABLE MATERIAL WE HAVE VERY LITTLE TRASH. rumpkke pays mie $30 a ton to bale recyclables, just built 2 buildings at a cost of 55million each to handle recyclables. we are paying for them to haul it away. now they want to run everyone else out of trash hauling.

I think your trustees are doing their job. They are working for the people which is what they were elected to do. My only concern is that in 3 years the rate will go up and there will not be anyone to bid against Rumpke. Hopefully WV management or Offenberger can hold on to some areas so they will be in a position to rebid in a 3 years
