bigtim hit that right on the nose. I guess nobody seen this coming from years past. Why wouldn't you use the funding for repairs for repairs instead of giving raises, wasting cash flow for things that really could've been used to help the kids. Then with the whole, “let’s scare the parents“ tactic in removing busing. As you can see that really worked! Prove to everyone that Warren won't be wasteful, and I'm sure a levy will pass. I mean, look at Caldwell, they just passed one. They must have there crap together for people willing to accept that levy they requested. Having a new school won’t fix what is broken with Warren, but I’m not even sure a new Superintendent will fix what is wrong with Warren. We need some new teachers as you won’t have to have them in the same pay scale as the ones that have been there for 100 yrs.

Don’t forget the enrollment has dropped around 300 students and school staff has dropped 80. What was the extra 80 employees for?

Your right Steve, the school system ended up in bad shape because the superintendent and BOE did everything they could to save money over the last eight years. Things like buying land to build new schoolson. Letting the repairs of the schools go because they were planning on building new ones. Giving outrages raises because they were going to pass a levy to cover them. Was a good plan except they didn't have a back up plan to all the spending. Still good to know we have retired teachers making a extra $60,000 a year double dipping into the schools money.

bigtime: I'd ask you to provide actual information that proves your assertion that the superintendent and BOE was bad and that overspending occurred, but I won't waste my time because you can't provide any information that supports your claim.

Your right, a person shouldn’t put food, house payments, medical bills and other non important things ahead of a over spending school system that was run into the ground by a bad Superintendent and BOE. What was I thinking?

bigime: I'm not interested in applying. I'm not the one with the problem the board is doing. People like you will always vote against levies because you're self-centered and selfish. Blaming others for "bullying" you is just another convenient excuse for allowing yourself to continue to look out for your own best interests regardless of who you hurt.

Whatsthediscussion: You're right. There is a vast conspiracy by the BOE to control the superintendent and make sure whoever they hire follows their diabolical plan to control the school system. For the BOE members, it is definitely all about obtaining and keeping power.

getthetruth,Why don’t you apply for the job. You seem to have all the answers and you wouldn’t have to hide behind your wife anymore. If you stop and think about all the people you have bullied, you might not have turned so many people against the levies.

I’m guessing you didn’t read my comment half way down. Its ok, it is normal for people to only read or hear what they want to read or hear. I’m sure somebody will come up amongst the rumble to be declared a vast victor of Superintendent. Once this victor has been appointed, the BOE will brain wash them, and be a mini Gibbs. I have my confidence in the BOE.

Whatsthediscussion: according to you, most of the people in this area support your "opinions" on the current Warren schools leadership so what makes you think you would lose if you chose to run for the school board? Sounds to me like you are looking for excuses to do nothing but continue to sit back and criticize anyone who is willing to step up and try to improve the system.

Gibbs showed the W***, that thesuperintendent's job is a part time job, so please, whomever gets the position, do not expect 150,000 a year, plus benefits, then do not expect voters to have a change of their mind concerning levies.

Is it not getting old posting the same comments over and over again? Everyone has point of views that are different, but yet must we go after one another? Oh Yea! We see where people post an “Opinion” and then the people who don’t like what they read must attack the person speaking their mind. I wonder how the people that say “ why don’t you run for BOE so we can see what you can do to help the schools.” If we wanted to run for BOE, do you honestly think we would win? If we aren’t for what everyone else with so called power of warren, then we would be shot down before we even got our name on the ballot. Why bother if you know your going to lose already. And just hypothetically, if we would win, and turn out to better then you expected, does that give us the right to shove it down your throat like everyone else does with warren when they are right? You can take the BOE and place it where you sit on, and don’t be giving grief towards people who are expressing their options.

If someone wants to walk, let them walk. To many qualified people in the world needing a job. Leffingwell can give all the ones that quit jobs at his Subway stores

Ira: Can't wait to see your name and qualifications on the ballot. I'm sure you will bring much more to the school district than any of the other individuals currently on the board. Please share.

The problem now is the Board. Voters demand the whole Board resign. We need new blood new ideas and common sense.
