We blame neither lawyers or the courts. We hold responsible the legislature who makes the laws. Lawyers and the courts are sworn to uphold and enforce the law. We hold responsible a society that has become fragmented with social isolation of those deemed "less-than" even when surrounded by other members of society.

I'm curious as to why there was not a charge of domestic violence or battery against Farnsworth. The article notes that "Farnsworth punched the woman in the stomach" before stealing her keys again and leaving the scene. And what about injury to the young woman he hit with the car? Something isn't adding up with this case.

Not going to jail because mommy has health issues? Come on what is wrong with this picture. It didn't stop him from doing the crime. I suppose next they wont put them away if they have gas.

He's a piece of work. I know him, he's an alcoholic and POS! He did get off too easy for this and I'm pretty sure it isn't the first time he's hit a woman! But anyway they probably got him to talk on people because he runs with others like himself. At least we know now that we can hit someone with a car but as long as we get out to make sure they are ok we have nothing to worry about!

I hope all the "do-gooders" out there are happy that he received a wrist slap. I just cannot figure out if it was the right wrist or the left wrist. Goodness knows we would not want him to have to pay a real price for his own actions.
