I read another where the idiot who did this was caught by the police. If he tried this in my home, which is set up to catch the criminals, he would not be physically able to do anything in the future, so he is lucky the police got him.

"Poor" people have been using the government to steal from working people for years now. The only difference this time is that the person got off the couch and stole it themselves....

These low-lifes need to pray that the wrong person does not find them. Some people out there do not look too kindly to someone who is a thief. They also do not care what the punishment is.

It's only a matter of time before there's a feud at the hog trough. I wonder how many of these "poor" people have cable tv and smart phones?

I know Jeff, Candy and Bob personally and to insinuate "something fishy" is totally uncalled for. They have dedicated their time and lives to helping others. There are truly people who need help from the pantry and then there are those that use it for food and spend their welfare checks and food stamps on drugs , booze and alcohol. Maybe they should be the first ones to be questioned. The person/persons who did this will have no remorse when they sit down to eat, they will only complain that is wasn't good enough. People like that feel they are entitled and that everyone owes them.

Maybe the people who were doing the stealing were in fact in dire straits themselves. With national unemployment still at records highs people may be forced to do desperate things. The national unemployment numbers no longer include the people who have give up looking.

Hope and Change does not put food on the table.

Yes We Can sure has a shallow ring to it now.

Stealing from the food pantry is no different then stealing from the offering plate at church, its other people money, a gift giving to help others. The person or persons did not steal just from the community but from God himself. It would be better that the thief return the stuff then face what is coming to them. I could almost bet they are not sleeping to well. What God provided to be given He can also take away from the thief. There comes a time they will truly be in need and the help will not given to them.

exofDevola Its because without the blame game an politics they don't have anything to add to the conversation.

I wouldn't be surprised if the thieves were on foot and used the wagon to haul the loot, a truck might have caught some ones attention. If they were on foot a trained Bloodhound would find them in a few hours or less.

Sorry typing too quickly , I really hope the police "catch " the thieves, not caught. Also, I don't understand why some posters bring politics into every story ,even the ones are not remotely linked to anything political.

I agree it is so low to steal food meant for hungry people, I also agree that this a crime , no political comments are needed on this story, it is crime and I hope the police caught these losers.

Conservative thought is against what the food pantry stands for? That's possibly the dumbest thing I've heard all week. One can just as easily stoop to your level and say it was a liberal that doesn't want to work for anything that stole the food. Back on topic, I hope the thieves choke to death on the very food they stole. If they needed food, the pantry would have given it to them.

The world of conservative thought is against everything the food pantry stands for: helping others in their time of need! This is a terrible crime and I hope justice is served. I will be donating to the pantry today. Be sure to drop whatever you can to help this service out.

Their application to be a 501c3 is being held up while Obama's minions at the IRS conduct their search and destroy mission to rid the world of conservative political thought.
