(Direct quote from the article:)

While Noal's parents do not deny his guilt in Wesley's death, they say they don't believe he intended to kill Wesley.

"We knew it was an accident. He loved Amber and he still did to the day he died. They had problems," said Mark Quattlebaum (end of quote)

An earlier Times article in the week stated Noel Quattlebaum was reported to having confessed he strangled her first with his hand and then with a belt. Accident, really?

Of course he loved her. That's why he beat her to death. (Sarcasm)

Maybe he also hung himself by accident. I am sorry for the victim, her family and children. I have a hard time finding any compassion for her murderer.

No sympathy. He was not a victim, and still is a cold blooded murderer who had no respect for anyone, including his own children.

MDee: Can't make sense out of your post. You write of Karma, but believe in Heaven. This can not be reconciled since karma is not a Christian belief.

Judgment and punishment is reserved for God under Christian belief.

Also, a killer can go to Heaven if he or she truly repents his sin and asks God's forgiveness.

However, most denominations of Christians believe that suicide is a mortal sin because it is the one sin we can not repent. Therefore, under Christian theology, he can not get into Heaven, but it's not because of murder.

Ya know it isn't any wonder people act like this, look at these comments on here and 90% of them are just plain nasty. There isn't any reason for them really. You pass judgment without know the facts of his case, people are human and make mistakes, in a fit of anger they say or do things they later regret, and I am sure everyone has done that. As far as judgment goes I love the old saying "For those of you without sin cast the first stone".

Ms. Wesley's family and Mr. Quattlebaum's family need all the love and support this community can give. They need for themselves, and they're going to need it for the two children who are the victims. These families need to find peace and forgiveness for each other and for the children they lost. People do the best they can.

How about this headline: Public wants answers as to why he was in prison for murder.

Dear Happy: Yes, it is the public's business when someone is in prison. He is using up valuable tax dollars. Now, the public will probably get to foot the bill for his funeral.

Noel was a murderer and a troubled young man.

Before that, he was an innocent baby, a funny little boy, a sweet child, a boy who loved and was loved. A parent's love for her child doesn't stop when the child commits a crime, even when he's an adult and the crime is murder. The loss of one's child is a terrible experience. The Quattlebaums lost their son twice.

Show some compassion for them. And show some compassion for his children. Some of the folks posting here need to take an inventory of themselves to find out why they feel such hatred for this family.

I was friends with Amber and I know her and Noel's relationship was not a good one. She showed up at my work several times with bruises and injuries. I begged her to tell the police. I'm not happy about any of this... Her death, his death, all a waste! He should have been charged with theft if her debit card and domestic violence s month or more before her death and none of this would have happened. She would still be alive! I think of her and her children often and pray for peace for everyone involved. This was senseless and sad.
