Yerkes-Martin
Erin Mae Yerkes and Jamey Gale Martin were united in marriage on May 17, 2008, at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Parkersburg. The Rev. Chuck Ferrell officiated for the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Bill and Lisa Yerkes of Little Hocking. She is the granddaughter of the late Marion Baker and Avis Baker of Parkersburg, and Bob and Ruth Yerkes of Titusville, Fla.
The bridegroom is the son of Dave Martin of Parkersburg and Diana Davis of Albany, Ga. He is the grandson of Jake and Mary Ann Martin of Cairo, W.Va., and the late Clyde and Thelma Goodwin.
The bride wore a strapless organza A-line gown with an apron style back trimmed in apple red with a white chapel length train, also with apple red trim. She carried a bouquet of red and white roses with small white calla lilies that was made by Carol Camp, aunt of the bride.
Maid of honor was Ginger Martin, sister of the bridegroom. Bridesmaids were Hope Burdette; and Cari Crumbaker, cousin of the bride.
Flower girl was Kelsi Camp, cousin of the bride.
Guest book attendant was Katie Shields, cousin of the bride.
Best man was Shawn Hinton. Groomsmen were Jeremy Martin, brother of the bridegroom; and Joe Cross. Ushers were Nick Yerkes, brother of the bride; and Derek Davis, stepbrother of the bridegroom.
Ringbearer was Lucas Lipscomb, cousin of the bride.
A reception followed at the Masonic temple in Parkersburg. Decorations made by Teresa Crumbaker, aunt of the bride, were featured.
After a honeymoon to the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania, the couple are residing in Parkersburg.
Richardson-Davis
Amy Marie Richardson and Aaron Mitchell Davis were united in marriage on May 24, 2008, at First Lutheran Church in Parkersburg. Pastor James Kinsler officiated for the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Dale and Becky Richardson of Parkersburg. She is the granddaughter of Harry and Nadine Butler of Parkersburg, and the late Cecil and Helen Richardson of South Charleston, W.Va.
The bridegroom is the son of Aaron E. Davis of Cincinnati and Debra Davis of Mount Orab, Ohio. He is the grandson of Glenn and the late Patricia Payne of Mount Orab, Ohio, and the Rev. Ramona Woods of Charleston, W.Va.
The bride wore an ivory, strapless floor-length gown that featured a fitted bodice wrapped in corded satin fabric and a full floor-length skirt with layers of teal and crinoline. The gown buttoned up the back with tiny satin covered buttons.
Matron of honor was Anne Shamblin, sister of the bride; and maid of honor was Mary Kinsler. Bridesmaids were Kylee Best; and Elizabeth Davis and Lauren Davis, sisters of the bridegroom.
Flower girl was Rebecca Shamblin, niece of the bride.
Best men were Will Richardson, brother of the bride; and Justin Phillips. Goomsmen were Rusty Midlam; Richard Montique; and Josh Shamblin, brother-in-law of the bride.
After a honeymoon at Disney World, the couple are residing in Columbus, where the bride is employed by Nationwide Children's Hospital and the bridegroom is continuing his graduate studies in athletic administration through California University of Pittsburgh.
Myers-Seevers
Courtney Renee Myers and Shawn Robert Seevers exchanged vows during an outdoor wedding ceremony on June 7, 2008, at the Belpre Civitan gazebo in Belpre. The double ring ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Paul Browning, who with his wife, Sally, was also present at the bride's parents' wedding.
The bride is the daughter of Rick and Rebecca Myers of Marietta. She is the granddaughter of Vivian Dye of New Matamoras, the late James Gilbert Myers of Lower Salem, Margaret Ann Biss of Marietta, and Wayne Biss of Davisville, W.Va.
The bridegroom is the son of Robert and Elizabeth Pearl Seevers Jr. of Belpre. He is the grandson of Glenna Seevers and the late Robert Seevers Sr. of Newport, and the late Clarence and Bessie Francis.
The bride wore a white strapless A-line gown with a sweep train, and an asymmetrical waist and corset back embellished with crystals, bugle beads and seed pearls. Her elbow length veil was adorned with seed pearls and held in place with a silver and pearl tiara. The bride carried a bouquet of dark pink roses, peonies and calla lilies.
Matron of honor was Amy Bryan. Bridesmaids were Courtney Hudson of Marietta, Brooke Adams of Parkersburg, Amanda Douglas of Marietta and Amber Barber of Lancaster, Ohio. They wore apple red dresses and carried red roseballs with stephanotis and adorned with crystal broaches with each bridesmaid's initial.
Flower girl was Ava Bryan, daughter of the matron of honor.
Best man was Dana Casto. Groomsmen were Zach Robinson of Marietta, Nate Cline of Marietta, Jeff Moore of Parkersburg, and Trey Wharton of Marietta.
Ring bearer was Cody Schaad, cousin of the bride.
Music was provided during the wedding by the Trillium Trio.
A reception followed at the Belpre Shrine Club. Guests were registered by Brittany and Kimberly Biss, cousins of the bride.
The bride is a 2005 graduate of Frontier High School and a 2007 graduate of Washington State Community College with an associate of applied science degree. She is employed as a physical therapist assistant for Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
The bridegroom is a 2005 graduate of Marietta High School and is currently attending Washington State Community College in the automotive mechanical field. He is employed as a sales associate for Auto Zone of Parkersburg.
The newlyweds reside in Parkersburg. A honeymoon cruise to the Caribbean is planned for late September.
Leftwich-Briggs
Rachel L. Leftwich and Jesse Lee Briggs were united in marriage on May 16, 2008, at the Lynn Street Church of Christ in Parkersburg. Teddy Tackett officiated for the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Becky and Robert "Ross" Edman of Medina, Ohio, and Robert and Sheila Leftwich II of Ripley, W.Va. She is the granddaughter of the late Jack and Grace Bevan of Lorain, Ohio, Robert "Bob" Moore of Lorain, Ohio, and Robert "Bob" Leftwich of Charleston, W.Va.
The bridegroom is the son of Debra Briggs of Vienna, W.Va., and William Pitts of Parkersburg.
Maid of honor was Kimberly D. Talbot of Parkersburg. Bridesmaid was Jessica Wright of Parkersburg.
Flower girl was Emily Briggs, daughter of the bridegroom.
Best man was Jason Briggs, brother of the bridegroom, and groomsman was Joseph Wade of Sandusky, Ohio.
Ringbearer was Deondre Briggs, son of the bride and bridegroom.
The wedding cake was made by Bridget Runion, sister of the bride.
A reception followed in the banquet area of the Lynn Street Church of Christ.
Harper-Erb
Kaelly Ann Harper and Joel Edward Erb exchanged wedding vows on July 5, 2008, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Churchtown. Father Seth Wymer officiated for the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Michael and Cathy Harper of Marietta. She is the granddaughter of Brooks and Beverly Harper, Walter and JoAnn Finkel, and Bill Lankford, all of Marietta; and Audrey Rowan of Belpre.
The bridegroom is the son of Randy and Brenda Erb of Lowell, and Karen Erb of Marietta. He is the grandson of Loraine Oliver of Antioch, Calif., John Hull of Flint, Mich., and Ruby Treadway of Lowell.
The bride wore a strapless ivory gown trimmed in claret red and sequins. She carried a bouquet of red roses and daisies.
Serving as maid of honor was Jamie Brunton. Bridesmaids were Courtney Pfeffer, Tracy Stevens, Courtney Breaux, Emily Shuba, Rita Soworoski and Taylor Dutton.
Flower girl was Madison Harper, cousin of the bride.
Serving as best man was Andrew Morgan. Groomsmen were Greg Hale; Tim Beaver; Josh Cochran; Joe Ryan, cousin of the bridegroom; John Erb, brother of the bridegroom; and Matthew Harper, brother of the bride.
Ringbearer was Stephen Harper, brother of the bride.

A reception followed at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Marietta.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Marietta High School and a 2008 graduate of Ohio University in Athens. She is currently employed by Noble Behavioral Health Choices in Caldwell as a prevention coordinator and counselor.
The bridegroom is a 2002 graduate of Marietta High School and a 2008 graduate of Franklin University in Columbus. He is currently employed by Perry and Associates in Marietta.
After a road trip to Myrtle Beach and Charleston, S.C., the couple are residing in Marietta.
Archer-Cunningham
Jaime Lynn Archer and Benjamin Trent Cunningham exchanged marriage vows at 5:30 p.m. July 5, 2008, on the beach at Kauai, Hawaii, with Pastor Mark Randolph officiating for the private double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of James and Rebecca Archer of Marietta. She is the granddaughter of Grace Stalnaker of Marietta.
The bridegroom is the son of C.J. and Ruth Cunningham of Marietta. He is the grandson of Ruth Little of Wheeling, W.Va.
The bride carried a bouquet of white orchids.
A private dinner/reception followed at the Hilton Kauai Beach Resort. A celebration with family was to be held upon their return to Marietta.
The bride is a 1993 graduate of Parkersburg Catholic High School, a 1997 graduate of Marietta College, and a 2005 graduate of Muskingum College. She is coordinator of Gifted Programs at Warren Local Schools.
The bridegroom is a 1991 graduate of Marietta High School, a 1995 graduate of Marietta College, a 1997 graduate of Ohio University and a 2004 graduate of Marshall University. He is director of special education for Belpre City Schools.
After a wedding trip to Kauai, Hawaii, the couple are residing in Marietta.
