The Mid-Ohio Valley Ringers, a local community-based handbell choir, will be presenting its 2009 Spring Concert at two different venues.
The first concert will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, May 31, at First Presbyterian Church, 501 Fourth St., Marietta.
The second concert will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, June 7, at First Lutheran Church, 1701 19th St., Parkersburg.
The concerts will include a mixture of sacred and classical selections.
Selections in the sacred portion of the program will include "Meditation on Beautiful Savior," "Climbing Jacob's Ladder" and "Come, Christians, Join to Sing" (with a Spanish flavor to it).
The classical portion of the program will include "The Ball" by Georges Bizet, "Bouree" by J.S. Bach, and "Gypsy Song" (from "Carmen"), arranged by Elizabeth Watson, a Parkersburg native now living in Austin, Texas.
There is no admission charge for either concert.
