On Sept. 26, Christians from the Mid-Ohio Valley will gather at the Marietta High School auditorium from 6:30 to 9 p.m. for a Regional Voice of the Martyrs Event. David Witt, associate representative of Voice of the Martyrs, will be the featured speaker.
Witt is the author of "The Spirit of Martyrdom" and founder of Spirit of Martyrdom ministries (www.SpiritofMartyrdom.com). He has spoken in over 1,800 churches and Christian ministries in the United States, traveled throughout Canada and Mexico, visited 13 countries in Europe, and spent three weeks in Israel at the Holy Land Institute for Biblical Studies.
He has traveled to 41 nations total in his lifetime. His travels with The Voice of the Martyrs have taken him to 18 restricted nations. He has brought support and encouragement to believers in Laos, Sudan, Iran, Turkey, and Azerbaijan. He has preached in underground church meetings and taught in Bible schools in Vietnam, China, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Indonesia.
In China, he met with house church leaders and personally witnessed their triumphant faith and courage. Most recently, he met with persecuted Christians in India, Egypt, Israel, Iraq, and Colombia.
