Feorene-Haywood
Katherine Lynn Feorene and John Bradford Haywood were united in marriage during an outdoor ceremony at 2 p.m. on Sept. 12, 2009, at the Virginia Cliffe Inn at Glen Allen, Va. The Rev. Larry Hoyle officiated for the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Martin J. Feorene, Sharon Kay Carpenter-White of Parkersburg, and Hazel Heater and Dennis Heater of Parkersburg.
The bridegroom is the son of Sheena and David Haywood of Mechanicsville, Va.
The bride's deceased grandparents are Paul Feorene, Carol Markley, and Ruby Markley of Fairmont, W.Va. The bridegroom's deceased grandparents are Alice Mihalcoe and Russell Haywood.
The bride wore a white form fitting, strapless gown of silk with a beaded embroidered empire waist and a short sweeping train. She carried a fresh bouquet of blue hydrangeas, white roses, white lily and small blue flowers. Her jewelry included half moon shaped silver and diamond earrings and an "S" shaped diamond necklace. She also carried a monogrammed handkerchief from the mother of the bridegroom and wore a long veil.
Matron of honor was Kimberly Middleton, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Duncan and Emily Van Voorhis. They wore long light blue dresses with an asymmetric gather at the waist under an "S" shaped broach. They carried hand-tied bouquets of white hydrangeas and small blue flowers.
Best man was David Haywood, father of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Brian Evan and Jason Frost.
Cole and Logan Middleton, 2-year-old nephews of the bride and twin sons of the matron of honor, were the ring bearers.
A reception followed in the Victorian gardens at the same location.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Parkersburg High School and a graduate of West Virginia University at Parkersburg with a bachelor's degree in business. She is the fund administrator at Admiral Administration LLC in Virginia.
The bridegroom is a 2004 graduate of Virginia Military Institute. He is a technical rescue operations technician for Fairfax County Fire Department in Virginia.
The couple will continue to reside in Mechanicsville, Va., after their honeymoon in Aruba.
Yoho-Alkire
Emmy Lou Yoho and Deron Royce Alkire exchanged marriage vows on Aug. 18, 2009, at the Highlands Resort in Gatlinburg, Tenn. The Rev. C.D. Welch officiated for the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Stephen Yoho of Lowell and the late Sandra Yoho. She is the granddaughter of Eula Yoho-Wilson of Reno, and Betty and Gene Wright of Valdosta, Ga.
The bridegroom is the son of Roy and Judy Alkire of Reno.
The couple will reside in Marietta.
Henry-Drennen
Kenny Drennen and Tara Henry exchanged wedding vows on Oct. 27, 2008, in Cancun, Mexico.
The ceremony was held under a gazebo on the shore overlooking the Caribbean Sea at the Cancun Dreams Resort. Their immediate family celebrated the occasion with them.
The bridegroom is the son of Dave and Karen Drennen of Marietta. He is the grandson of Bill and Marilyn Drennen of Oak Grove, and Kenny and Fran Carver of Marietta.
The bride is the daughter of ToRay and Darcy Henry of Sunbury, Ohio, and Tessa O'Neal of Lewis Center, Ohio.
The bride wore a white satin A-line gown with a side draped bodice and an asymmetrical skirt. She carried a bouquet of off-white trumpet lilies.
Maid of honor was Tristen Henry, the bride's sister. She wore a canary yellow satin strapless gown and carried a bouquet of yellow and orange flowers.
Kasey Drennen of Highstown, N.J., served as his brother's best man.
A mariachi band entertained the wedding party and guests at a moon and starlight dinner reception after the ceremony.
The bridegroom is a 1993 graduate of Marietta Senior High School and a 1999 graduate of Ohio University. He is employed by Damon's Corp. in Westerville, Ohio.
The bride is a 1999 graduate of Westerville High School and a 2003 graduate of Miami University in Miami, Ohio. She is employed as a senior commercial accounting analyst for BMW Financial Services in Hilliard, Ohio.
After a honeymoon in Cancun, the couple are residing in their home at Columbus, Ohio.
