'Come as you are' to Dec. 27 service

Worshipers are invited to "come as you are" for the worship service on Sunday, Dec. 27, at First Congregational Church United Church of Christ, 318 Front St., Marietta.

Those attending are welcome to wear a favorite sweater or other casual clothes for the less formal worship and carol sing. They may also bring "goodies" to share if they like. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and juice will be provided.

The congregation will be celebrating Epiphany, the "Coming of the Light," at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 3. The sacrament of Holy Communion will be observed. All are welcome to participate.

The meditation for the morning will be "Belonging."
