Baker-Fulmer

Judith L. Baker and R. Steven Fulmer exchanged marriage vows during a private ceremony at 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 3, 2009, at Christ United Methodist Church in Marietta. The Rev. Doug Stockton officiated for the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Jeanne Wening of Marietta and the late Hewitt Wening.

The bridegroom is the son of Alma Fulmer Weatherholt and Frank Weatherholt of Lakeland, Fla., and the late Robert Fulmer.

Wedding selections were provided by Sarah Buchert, organist; and Joann Ullman, vocalist.

The bride was presented in marriage by James D. Baker III, her son. She wore a floor length black and white jacket dress ensemble. The top of the dress and jacket was accented with silver threads. Her jewelry was black and white rhinestones. The bride carried a bouquet of red roses with a rhinestone center stud and with the stems wrapped with red ribbon accented with rhinestones.

Matron of honor was Jill Caplinger and maid of honor was Jennifer Baker, the bride's daughters. They wore floor length sleeveless black gowns that featured empire waistlines and "V" necklines. Their jewelry was pearls with rhinestone accents, a gift from the bride. They carried bouquets of white roses with the stems wrapped with white ribbon.

Best man was Robert Burton, the bridegroom's brother-in-law. Groomsman and usher was Stan Fulmer, the bridegroom's son. Usher was James Baker, the bride's son.

Ringbearer was Chase Caplinger, the bride's grandson.

A reception followed in the Lafayette Hotel's Grand Ballroom.

Stefne Wene of Newburgh, Ind., the bridegroom's daughter, provided both vocal and recorded music for dancing at the Lafayette. Her brother, Stan Fulmer, also sang several selections.

The bride is a graduate of Marietta High School and the Good Samaritan School of Nursing in Zanesville, Ohio. She is an R.N. at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Marietta High School. He attended Ohio State University and graduated from Glenville State College in Glenville, W.Va. He is a retired financial planner.

After a wedding trip to the New England states and Gettysburg, Pa., the couple are residing in Oak Grove, Marietta.
