VIENNA, W.Va. - While Ohio Valley University celebrates its Golden Anniversary, it also welcomes the 52nd annual OVU Lectureship Series to its campus.
The four-day event features six keynote speakers, multiple topics, special dinners and musical ensembles April 11 to 14 on OVU's main campus. Lectures and classes are free and open to the public. Lunch and dinner reservations are requested.
Lectures begin at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, April 11, with singing in the chapel, followed at 7:30 p.m. by keynote speaker Jimmy Allen, who will speak about, "What Christian Education Did for Me."

Monday, April 12, 10 a.m. - E. Keith Stotts, "Passover: A Look Back and a Look Ahead"; Special Dedication: A.E. Johnson Center for Biblical Studies.
Monday, April 12, 7 p.m. - Phil Sanders, "Day of Atonement: Purification by the Blood of Christ."
Tuesday, April 13, 10 a.m. - Earl Lavender Keynote, "Pentecost: Mission as the Work of the Spirit."
Tuesday, April 13, 7 p.m. - Kevin Youngblood, "Jubilee: The Liberating Lordship of God."
Wednesday, April 14, 10 a.m. - Gary Dodd, "Purim: Seeing the Providence of God."
Additional speakers throughout the conference include Dr. Jimmy Allen; Gary Dodd; Dr. Earl Lavender; Dr. Mike Moss; Dr. Tom Olbricht; Dr. Harold Redd; Laurel Sewell; Dr. Milton Sewell; Dr. Phil Slate; Dr. Matt Stead; Grady Troute; and Dr. Kevin Youngblood.
Displays and representatives from OVU and various brotherhood organizations will be in the area near to the keynote presentations throughout the lectureship series.
Special dinners
Two special dinners are planned during the OVU Lectureship.
PACE Dinner, Monday, April 12
The President's Ambassadors for Christian Education (PACE) Dinner will be held on Monday at 4:30 p.m. in the OVU Roberts Chapel and requires advance registration. Please submit reservation requests by Sunday, April 11, to Kim Haynes at (304) 865-6025 or kim.haynes@ovu.edu. Cost for the dinner is $10 per person.
Lectureship Dinner, Tuesday, April 13
The Lectureship Dinner is at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in the OVU Roberts Chapel. Cost for the dinner is $12 per person. Tickets may be purchased on Monday, April 12, at the OVU front desk.
