In Williamstown
The 16th annual Music in the Park concert series will run from June through September at Tomlinson Park in Williamstown.
The free concerts will be each Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the park's gazebo.
The schedule of performers includes:
June 1 - Heaven's Rush.
June 8 - Jim Blair and the Southern Gospelairs.
June 15 - John Barr.
June 22 - Country Pickers.
June 29 - Gene Haught and All God's Children.
July 6 - Laurel Creek.
July 13 - Randy and The Renegades.
July 20 - Pickin' On Country.
July 27 - Jan Bigger and Friends.
Aug. 3 - Bill Duer's St. Marys Community Band.
Aug. 10 - 4 Hits & A Miss.
Aug. 17 - Darla Wheeler.
Aug. 24 - Steve and Bev Pottmeyer.
Aug. 31 - The Clark Family.
Sept. 7 - The Tune Smiths.
Sept. 14 - Never Too Late.
Sept. 21 - Jan Pickering and The Violins.
In Marietta
The Marietta Welfare League's Music in the Park resumes next week and continues through the summer months.
The free concerts will be held at 7 p.m. Thursdays at the gazebo in Muskingum Park. People are invited to bring lawn chairs, blankets and snacks for the concerts.
A volunteer organization for women in Marietta and Washington County, the Marietta Welfare League helped raise funds to build the gazebo in 1985 and since has supported local talent through the free summer concert series.
This year's lineup follows:
June 3 - Randy and the Renegades (country).
June 10 - The Faculty (classic rock 'n' roll).
June 17 - The Tune Smiths (classic hits, children's tunes).
June 24 - Simply Ira, with special guest Elvis (smooth jazz).
July 1 - Sons of the American Revolution (war tunes, artillery).
July 8 - Zane Kesselring (gospel).
July 15 - Steve and Bev Pottmeyer (easy listening, folk).
July 22 - Heaven's Rush (Southern gospel).
July 29 - Karl Kesselring (easy listening).
Aug. 5 - Country Pickers (bluegrass, old country).
Aug. 12 - Praise Alpha & Omega (praise and worship).
Aug. 19 - The Mission Trio (Southern gospel).
Aug. 26 - Premiere Show Choir (variety).
