Area churches who are holding Vacation Bible schools:

"The Wordless Book," theme of Vacation Bible School, 7 to 9 p.m. each evening from June 20 to 24, at Moss Run Community Church, 10 miles out Ohio 26 on the right; closing program, 7 p.m. Thursday, with refreshments afterwards.

"High Seas Expedition," theme of Vacation Bible School, 6 to 8:30 p.m. each evening from June 14 to 18, Marietta First Church of the Nazarene, 100 Mill Creek Road, Marietta; for children 3 years old through sixth grade.

"High Seas Expedition," theme of Vacation Bible School, 6 p.m. each evening from July 11 to 15, Gilman United Methodist Church, 312 Gilman St., Marietta.

"Galactic Blast," theme of Vacation Bible School, 6 to 8:30 p.m. each evening from June 13 to 16, Belpre Heights United Methodist Church, Clement Avenue, Belpre; for all children up to sixth grade.

Vacation Bible School, 6 p.m. each evening from June 21 to June 25, at Barlow Presbyterian Church; to pre-register: Dee Heiss at 678-2610.

"Going on a Road Trip," theme of Vacation Bible School at North Hills Baptist Church, 6 to 8:30 p.m. each evening from June 21 to 25; Sunday Sundae on June 20 after morning service.

"Egypt: Joseph's Journey from Prison to Palace," theme of Vacation Bible School, June 27 to 30, Grand Central Church of Christ, 5805 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, W.Va.; begins at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, continuing Monday through Wednesday starting at 6 p.m. each evening.

Vacation Bible School, 6 p.m. each evening from July 5 to 9, Marietta Bible Center Church; games, music missionary and Bible stories; refreshments served each evening; speaker, Evangelist Charlie Chan, a highly qualified children's worker.

"Joseph's Journey from Prison to Palace," theme of Vacation Bible School, 9 a.m. to noon each day from July 26 to 30, 501 Fourth St., Marietta; joint effort by First Presbyterian Church and Christ United Methodist Church; for children ages 3 through fifth grade.
