Church plans picnic homecoming
St. Mary's Fulda Picnic Homecoming will be held Monday, Sept. 6.
Mass will begin at 9 a.m. Dinner will be served from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with carryout dinners available. There will be games and refreshments all afternoon with a round and square dance from 4 to 7 p.m. by "Little Creek Band." The public is invited.
St. Mary's of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 43700 Fulda Rd., Caldwell, is on Noble County 15, six miles east of Caldwell. Signs will be posted.
Angel Food orders taken through Aug. 17
Angel Food orders will be taken from 9 to 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 9; from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 12, and from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, at Second Congregational Church, 1855 Greene, St., Marietta. Orders may also be mailed or phoned in by Aug. 17. Distribution will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, at the church.
The Signature Box has been reduced to $29, and has 7.5 pounds of meat, along with veggies, pasta, eggs and shelf stable milk. Fast and Flavorful Cuisine is the new name for the convenience meals which meet the dietary needs of seniors and diabetics, $28. A box especially for children is the Just For Me After School Box, with an assortment of snacks for $24.
There are six specials for August: a six pound assorted Grill Box, $24; a four pound Steak and Chicken Box, $23: a Gourmet flavored chicken breast, $22: new item of four Oven Ready Entrees, two pounds each, $24: the Premium Fresh Fruit and Veggie Box, priced lower at $21: and the Bit O'Blessing Box, with over seven pounds of food for $21.

Concert Saturday at Marietta church
The Marietta Church of Christ at 228 S. Seventh St will host a concert by Marv Whiteman this Saturday at 7 p.m.
Blind since birth, Whiteman is a master at the piano and singing as well as entertaining his audence by blessing all he comes in contact with. He will also be doing the Sunday morning worship service at 10:30 a.m. The public is invited.
Dinner, auction at Slate Chapel church
Slate Chapel United Methodist Church will hold its annual fundraiser chicken and rib dinner with auction from 4 to 8 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 7, at the church on Slate Creek Road, West Virginia 14 south.
Reno church having Camp Meeting Time
Camp Meeting Time will be held at 7 p.m. nightly from Aug. 10 to 14, at the Family Worship Center, 27460 Ohio 7, Reno. There will be guest speakers and singing.

Church plans free picnic and concert
The Little Hocking United Methodist Church will be holding a free community picnic from 4 to 5:30 p.m. and a concert featuring The Proclaimer's at 6 p.m. on Aug. 22, at the church, followed by homemade desserts; located across from Little Hocking Elementary School at County Road and Ohio 124.

Classes begin soon at school, college
The Marietta Christian School will begin classes on Aug. 25 and the Marietta Bible College will begin the fall semester on Sept. 8.

Yard sale Saturday at Nazarene church
First Church of the Nazarene, 100 Mill Creek Drive, will hold a yard sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Aug. 7.
The event is sponsored by the Youth and Missions Ministries of the Church. Many items have been donated. Items include clothing, toys, furniture, tools, TV's. The community is invited.
Sunderman Family to perform Aug. 22
The Sunderman Family singing group will be performing from 10:30 a.m. to noon, Sunday, Aug. 22, at the River of Life Assembly of God, 200 Franklin St., Marietta. Everyone is invited.
Family-to-Family begins next month
A free Family-to-Family 12 week educational program will be held from 7 to 9:30 p.m. beginning Sept. 13 at Christ United Methodist Church, 301 Wooster St., Marietta.
The program is designed to help family members understand and support a mentally ill family member while maintaining their own well being and provides information about illnesses of the brain and teaches coping and advocacy skills. Register by Sept. 7.

Pastor to give new message in series
Myron K. Fuiler, pastor of the Marietta Bible Center Church, will preach at 10 a.m., Sunday, Aug. 8. He will continue his series of messages from the book of Revelation. His message will be, "The King Is Coming."
There will be a prayer meeting at 5:30 p.m. Joe Offenberger will preach at the 6 p.m. service.
Guiler has begun a weekly bible study at the Kennonsburg Bible Church. He is teaching through the book of Revelation. The church is on Ohio 313, 13 miles east of I-77, off of exit 37.
Mount Hermon to hold homecoming
Mount Hermon Church, Ohio 550, Amesville, will be holding its homecoming Aug. 8. Sunday school will be at 10 a.m., lunch at 12:30 p.m. and service at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Delbert Bennett and the "Libby's Singers."

Performance to be of Aesop's Fables
Madcap Puppet Productions will present a performance of Aesop's Fables at 3 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 8, at The Living Word Outdoor Drama amphitheater with a cast of actors, life size puppets and the audience.
Following the performance Aesop will stay to discuss his animal friends and answer questions. Seating begins at 2 p.m. , adults $6, children (4-12) $4. Family package (2adults, 2 children) $18.
