Mid-Ohio Valley residents will have a number of activities and events to choose from as they celebrate the end of 2010 and the arrival of 2011.

The Blennerhassett Hotel in downtown Parkersburg will be hosting a "Glamour Baby" New Year's Eve party on Friday to ring in 2011. There will be live music by Columbus group Luxury Brown for the '50s era party.
The hotel's New Year's Eve package includes overnight accommodations for two, hors d'oeuvres all evening, a midnight buffet, a cash bar and a champagne toast.
A New Year's Eve Bluegrass Show will be held Friday at the Belpre Shrine Club Building at 1225 Blennerhassett Ave.

North Bend State Park at Cairo is offering special packages for New Year's Eve. The park lodge will host a dinner from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and a dance with live music by the Russell Ahner Band from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. There will also be snacks, party favors and a champagne toast at midnight.

On New Year's Eve, the Holiday Inn in Marietta will be offering a special package for couples that includes admittance to a dance party in Brandy's Lounge with music from a DJ. The package will also include champagne, party favors, a midnight buffet and a New Year's Day brunch.

A New Year's Eve dance is being sponsored by American Legion Post 159 in Williamstown.
Pethtel Productions will play music from 9 p.m to 1 a.m. Appetizers, sauerkraut and kielbasa and a cash bar will be offered. The cost is $10 a person or $15 a couple, and the event is open to the public.
The 14th Avenue Gospel Mission Church in Parkersburg will have its annual New Year's Eve Watch Service on Friday, beginning with a dinner in the fellowship hall at 8 p.m. The service will begin at 9 with special music being provided by Forgiven 4 from Gallipolis.

Chesterville United Methodist Church Charge will present a New Year's Eve Biblical Celebration at the church on Chesterville Road in Mineral Wells.
The event is open to the public. There will be an open-mic gospel sing at 8 p.m., with fellowship and snack time at 10. Communion will take place at 11 p.m., and participants pray the New Year in beginning at 11:30 p.m.
