Music from the heart at Unitarian church
The Unitarian Universalist Church will present "Music from the Heart" from 7 to 8 p.m. on Feb. 11. Pianist Randall Kidder will play a solo recital of contemporary and classical music. Weekly free lunch served Feb. 9
The Daily Bread Kitchen weekly free lunch will be serving vegetable soup and egg salad sandwiches from 11:30 until 1 p.m., Feb. 9, at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 312 Franklin St., Marietta. All are welcome.
Christianity and the world at church

Church to offer soup supper Feb. 19
The Lower Salem United Methodist Church will be having a soup supper on Feb. 19 from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at the Lower Salem Community Building in Lower Salem. The menu will consist of homemade pies, sandwiches, and homemade desserts. The cost is free will offering with everyone welcome to attend. All proceeds will go to the Lower Salem United Methodist Church.
'God has an app for that' at Tunnel
Contemporary Service at Tunnel United Methodist Church - Gather, Praise, Seek (GPS) will be held from 11:15a.m. to noon Sunday. There will be a gathering for light refreshments at 11 with worship following. Pastor Richard Thomas will be speaking on the topic, "God Has an App for That" part 2, "A New Pattern" based on Colossians 3:4-9 and will lead informal discussion. Pleasant Hill to serve italian feast
The Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church will host their annual Italian Feast supper on Feb. 26 from 4 to 7 p.m. The menu will include many Italian choices including spaghetti and. Free to the public and everyone is welcome.

Methodist men to hold breakfast
The Little Hocking United Methodist Men will be holding a pancake breakfast on Feb. 19 from 6:30 to 11 a.m. All you can eat pancakes and sausage will be served. Everyone is welcome..
Donations will be accepted and will be used to send care packages to soldiers serving abroad.

Christian artist to perform at Malone
Popular contemporary Christian artist Justin McRoberts will perform at the next Kawfee Haus concert Feb. 15 at 9 p.m. in the Stewart Room of the Randall Campus Center on the Malone University campus in Canton. Tickets for the general public are $5 at the door. Malone University students with a current ID will be admitted free of charge.
Malone University to offer workshops
The Malone University College of Theology, Arts, and Sciences - Department of Music will welcome media industry businessman, David Bunker, to campus Feb. 7. He will conduct two workshops/discussion sessions on in room 112 of the Johnson Center for Worship and the Fine Arts. At 10 a.m. he will be part of a panel discussion entitled "The Christian Artist or the Artist Who Is Christian?". Moderator will be Jack Ballard Jr., Ph.D., associate professor of music. At 2 p.m., Bunker will lead a workshop in songwriting, critiquing, and utilizing pre-screened works by students and participants. In addition, Bunker will be the special guest at the Music Production Recital in the Malone University Chapel, scheduled for 7:30 p.m. that evening. All programs are free and open to the public.
Group invites
public to game night
St. Marys CWC invites area adults to a night out for community game night on Feb. 11, in the parish hall basement at the corner of Fourth and Wooster streets, Marietta. Doors open with food available at 6 p.m. with games starting at 7 p.m. There will be food, door prizes, Euchre, Uno, bridge, hand & foot and other games. The cover charge will be $5.

The reality of hell to be disscussed
Myron K. Guiler, pastor of the Marietta Bible Center Church, will preach in the 10 a.m. service on Feb. 6. He will preach a series of messages each Sunday in February on the Bible Teaching on Hell. The message this Sunday will be "The Realty of Hell." He will also be preaching at the 6 p.m. service.
The South-eastern Ohio Pastor's Fellowship will meet on Feb. 7 at the Denny's Restaurant in Cambridge. The speakers will be Don Olfield, from the Metropolitan Baptist Church of Wheeling, Ohio, and Jeff Cox, pastor of the East Sunsbury Baptist Church of Beallsville, Ohio at 10 a.m.
The mid-week service will be Feb. 9 with Guiler leading the Bible study.
Guiler will conduct a Bible study from the Book of Revelations, Feb. 10, at 7 p.m., at the Kennonsburh Bible Church.
Joe Offenberger continues his mission trip to the Philippines. He has completed a week of teaching at the Fundamental Bible College of Asia, located in Tarloc. He will begin a week of teaching Monday in Manila. He will return to the U.S. on Feb. 14.

Worshiping God topic of service
This Sunday morning at the 10 a.m. service Pastor A. C. Smith will present the message "Worshiping God" at Lighthouse Baptist Church of Vincent.
There will be a continental breakfast and all are invited to attend. During the Bible study time, Smith will be teaching a five week class for those who are interested in becoming a part of the congregation.
Lighthouse Baptist Church is located on Ohio 339, between the villages of Vincent and Barlow.
