Charles R. Jr. and Barbara Born Miller's children will be holding a celebration for their 50th anniversary on Feb. 26. They were married on Feb. 25, 1961, at Fayettville, W. Va. by Charles Thompson.
He is the son of the late Charles R. Sr. and Mary Goodwin Miller of Marietta. Miller served in the Ohio National Guard for nine years and retired from the BFG/RJF Plant in Oak Grove after 42 years.
She is the daughter of the late William and Betty Boyce Born of Stanleyville and worked at Marietta Memorial Hospital as a licensed practical nurse for 22 years.
The couple have three sons: Terry, of San Francisco; Tim (Sue) of Stanleyville Road; and Tom (Kelley) of Newport. They have three grandchildren: Tommy (Nicole) Miller; Stephanie (Sonny) Miller; and Amanda (Craig) Moore. They have three great-grandchildren: Alexis and Baylee Miller; and Kayden Moore. They have two stepgrandchildren: Nathan (Jennifer) Sturm, of Stanleyville Rd.; and Heidi Smith of Oliver Road. They have seven stepgreat-grandchildren: Madeline; Tyler; Brandon; Josh; John Michael; Tiffani; and Brayden.
A celebration of their anniversary will be from 2 to 5 p.m., Feb. 26 at the community building in Stanleyville on Washington County 42, next door to Fearing Township VFD. Everyone is invited but the family requests no gifts. Cards can be mailed to 117 Brant Dr., Marietta, Ohio 45750.
