Randall and Susan Varner of Marietta announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Allie Kate Varner to Joshua Michael Adams.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of J. Michael and Patricia Adams of Springfield, Ohio.
The bride-to-be is a 2005 graduate of Marietta High School and a 2009 graduate of The Ohio State University with a bachelor of science in molecular genetics. She is currently attending graduate school at the University of Cincinnati, working on her doctoral degree in cancer and cell biology. Her dissertation research is taking place at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.
The prospective bridegroom is a 2005 graduate of Springfield North High school and a 2009 graduate of The Ohio State University with a bachelor of science in microbiology. He is currently working as a microbiologist in a private lab in Cincinnati.
The wedding will be held June 25 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with a reception at the Marietta Shrine Club.
