Free community meal offered March 12
St. Marks United Methodist Church is offering a free community meal from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 12. Everyone is invited for food and fellowship. The church is located at 302 Maple St., Belpre.

Free lunch offered Wednesday March 9
The Daily Bread Kitchen will provide a free lunch on Wednesday, March 9, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 312 Franklin St. Marietta.
The lunch will consist of potato soup, grilled cheese sandwiches, chips, pickles, canned fruit and desert. All are welcome.
Romanian minister to visit Bible Center
Myron K. Guiler, pastor of the Marietta Bible Center Church, will preach in the 10 a.m. service on March 6. He will begin a series on the Crucifixion of Christ which will continue until Easter Sunday. Communion will be served at the close of the service.
The evening service will be at 6 p.m. Phil Fair will bring the message and will serve communion at the close of the service.
Joe Offenberger will minister in Romania and Moldavia for the next three weeks. He will be teaching a class for pastors and students while there.
The mid-week service will be at 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 9. Jon Layner will lead the Bible study.
Guiler will conduct a meeting at the Tri-state Baptist Church of South Point, Ohio, March 6 through 11. The Marietta Bible College Choir will sing the final service on Friday evening.

GPS at Tunnel Methodist continues
Contemporary Service at Tunnel United Methodist Church - Gather, Praise, Seek (GPS) will be held from 11:15 a.m. to noon Sunday. There will be light refreshments at 11 a.m. with worship following. Pastor Richard Thomas will be speaking on the topic, "God Has an App for That, Part 6: A New Mission" from Colossians, 3 and will lead informal discussion. All are welcome to this time of contemporary Christian music, worship, seeking and fellowship. Tunnel Church is located on Ohio 550 at Tunnel, 4 miles west of Marietta.

Free community lunch March 12
The Singles and Doubles class of the First Baptist Church will be offering their Caring and Sharing Free Community Lunch on Saturday, March 12, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church located at 301 Fourth St., Marietta. All are invited to this free lunch. The menu will include various casseroles, tossed salad, rolls, dessert and beverage.
The class offers this free community lunch as a part of it's community outreach ministries on the second Saturday of every month. The class also reminds community members of a second monthly lunch served by the Acacia class of First Baptist Church on the fourth Saturday of each month at the same time and location.
Fundraising fish fry at St. Mary's
A fundraising All You Can Eat Lenten Fish Fry will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. every Friday throughout the Lenten Season from March 11 to April 15 at St. Mary's Catholic School Parish Center, Third Street, Marietta. The same menu includes: fish (fried and baked), baked potato, french fries, cole slaw, green beans and applesauce. A la carte items include nachos and cheese, Domino's pizza and dessert.
The price is $8 for an adult dinner, $7.50 for senior and $4 for a child dinner. Nachos, Pizza and Dessert are $1.
For ahead ordering and curbside delivery call 374-9156 between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. Enter through the school alley from Montgomery Street, Marietta. Take out dinners are $7.50 and sandwiches are $3.50.
Church hosts chili and hot dog dinner
The Little Hocking United Methodist Church will be having a chili and hot dog dinner on March 12 from 4 to 7 pm. There will be all you can eat chili (made from local farm raised beef), hot dogs, homemade sauce, cornbread, peanut butter sandwiches, drink, and your choice of homemade dessert for a donation. Eat in or carry out. Proceeds will go towards buying coats for the annual giveaway in November. Everyone is Welcome. The church is located on the corner of Federal Road and Ohio 124 in Little Hocking.
