Roger and Cris Baker of Waterford will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary on April 17. They were married at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Beverly by Father William Campbell.
She is the daughter of Irene Lang and the late Joseph Lang Jr. of Waterford. She is employed at Waterford Elementary as an educational aide and junior high softball coach and enjoys walking, sewing, bus trips, traveling, and going to Amish Country.
He is the son of the late Raymond and Evelyn Baker. He is retired from Dupont and enjoys hunting, and fishing and coaches pee wee basketball at Waterford. Together they enjoy following all Waterford sports.
They have four children; Michelle (Jerry King) of Tuelelake, Calif.; Lori Jenkins of Waterford; Amy (Frank) Newton of Cortland, Ohio; and Joe (Jessie Schmac-fiancee) of Athens, Pa..
They have four grandchildren: Michael and Jenna King; Wesley Jenkins; and Hayden Newton.
An open house hosted by their children will be Saturday, March 26 from 4 to 7 p.m. at St. Bernard's Social Hall. All family and friends are invited to attend. Gifts should be omitted.
