Mr. and Mrs. Eden and Janie Semones along with Mr. and Mrs. Dave and Debbie Cumpston of Parkersburg, are pleased to announce the engagement of their children, Sydney Paige Semones to John Marshall Cumpston.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Charles and Teressa McMullen of Parkersburg and Eden and Sharon Semones of Parkersburg. She is a 2008 graduate of Parkersburg South High School and is currently attending Washington State Community College, where she plans to be certified in the physical therapy assistant program.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of the late Donald Earl of Nutter Fort, W.Va. and Opal Lucille Rogers of Parkersburg and the late James Rexall and the late Virginia Fern Cumpston of New Milton W.Va. He is a 2004 graduate of Parkersburg South High School and a 2005 graduate of the Charleston Police Academy. He is currently employed with the Parkersburg Police Department.
The wedding is planned for May 21, at the Grand Pointe in Vienna W.Va., with a reception to follow.
The two will be joined together as one by Pastor Ronnie Hendershot. The couple plan to reside in Parkersburg along with their three dogs Miser, Zoey, and Roxi.
