Durward and Gwen Blaney of Vincent will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary with their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
They were married on April 6, 1946, shortly after Blaney's honorable discharge from the U.S. Army. The wedding was in Barnesville, Ohio, in the Church of Christ parsonage of Allie Smith.
She is the daughter of the late Nattie and Sarah Moore of Egypt Valley, Ohio. He is the son of the late Bob and Genie Blaney of Bethesda, Ohio.
They have four children: Becky Ault; Randy (Connie) Blaney; Larry Blaney; and Mary (Gary) Manning. They have 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
They retired to Myrtle Beach after he spent his life's work in the lumber business.
They returned to the area 13 years ago to be near their family.
