Crown of Life weekly services announced
Sunday morning worship at Crown of Life Lutheran Church will begin at 9:30 a.m. Pastor Joel Vogel will lead the service. Immediately following worship, light refreshments will be served in the fellowship room. At 11 a.m. Sunday School classes will begin for children and teens. The first quarterly voter's meeting of 2011, will replace this week's Sunday morning adult Bible study class.
Every Thursday at 10 a.m. anyone interested is invited to attend a Bible study. The class which is currently discussing the Old Testament book of Nehemiah meets in the office complex in the lower level of the church,

Election Day bake sale at Sand Hill UM
Sand Hill United Methodist Church in Reno will be holding an Election Day bake sale starting at 6:30 a.m. on May 3. The sale will be held at the Marietta Township Recreation Center, 260 Sand Hill Road (old Reno School.)

Change the World Day is May 7
May 7 is the National United Methodist's "Change The World Day." The project for the Gilman United Methodist Church, 312 Gilman Avenue, Marietta, will be to clean the streets of lower Harmar and beautify our neighborhood community. Four-part message begins May 8
Beginning on May 8 there will be a four part message series delivered by Pastor Diann O'Bryant, at the Gilman United Methodist Church, 312 Gilman Avenue, Marietta, starting at 10:30 a.m. each Sunday. The title of the series is, "Easter People. " May 8 will be on " Seeing"; May 15, " Touching "; May 22, " Recognizing"; and May 29 " Serving."

Relay for Life coffee house in Belpre
St. Marks United Methodist Church in Belpre will be hosting a Relay for Life Coffeehouse on May 8, at 6:30 p.m. There will be musical entertainment, coffee, desserts, silent auction and door prizes. All proceeds from this event will be donated to The American Cancer Society. The church is located at 302 Maple Street, Belpre.

Beverly church to host salad luncheon
Presbyterian Church of Beverly is hosting a salad luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., May 11 at the church. The cost is $6 per person. Carry-outs will be available.
Gilman United Methodist Church, 312 Gilman Avenue, Marietta, will hold a hamloaf of meatloaf dinner from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, May 27, at the church for a free will offering. The menu will include hamloaf or meatloaf dinner, with cheesy potatoes, green beans, roll, dessert, and beverage.

Dinner auction
to be held May 14
Saint Ambrose Catholic Church will be hosting a dinner auction to benefit the Sacred Heart Retreat House and Catholic Education on May 14. The event will be held at St. Ambrose Hall, Saint Ambrose Church, 5080 Old School House Road, Little Hocking. The cost is $25 per person. There will be appetizers at 6 p.m, followed by a catered dinner at 7 p.m. Every ticket holder is included for prizes. There will be live and silent auctions, cash drawings, split the pot and over $30,000 in prizes to win.
