PARKERSBURG - The rosters for the 18th annual BACF Ohio vs. West Virginia Football Classic at 7 p.m. Friday, June 10 at Stadium Field in Parkersburg have been announced with five players each from Fort Frye, Waterford and Warren leading the Ohio contingent while six Ravenswood and St. Marys gridders and five from Wirt County top the West Virginia squad.
Head coaches for the game which raises funds for research into the development of a potential cure for cystic fibrosis are Don Reeves from Parkersburg High for West Virginia, which holds an 11-6 lead in the series, and Waterford's Chad Ross for Ohio.
Both BACF head coaches will use their high-school staffs as the assistant coaches for the game.
West Virginia prevailed last year at Warren by a 31-6 score after Ohio pitched a 24-0 shutout at Stadium Field in 2009.
Ohio has 39 high-school seniors on its roster, split between 13 schools, while the West Virginia roster numbers 35 from 11 schools.
Tickets for the BACF game will soon be available at all area Burger King restaurants for $5 each as well as at the gates on June 10 for the same price.
