Craig and Cheryl Wharff of Newport announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Lindsy Dee to Scott Michael Hinton, son of Tom and Peg Hinton of Amanda, Ohio.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Carol and the late John Wharff, Don Sillaman and Connie Sillaman, all of Marietta, and Elaine and Richard Burkey of Deerfield, Ohio. She is the great-granddaughter of the Rev. Edith and the late Rev. Don Sillaman and Ruth and the late Howard Johnson. She is a 2008 graduate of Marietta College with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Pat Bethel and Joane Hinton from Amanda. He is a 2007 graduate of Ohio University with a Bachelor of Science in education.
The couple will be married June 18 in Marietta. They will reside in Albany, Ohio.
