A couple from New Hampshire recently auctioned off three cookie jars on eBay that were manufactured by American Bisque in Williamstown:
Selling for $885.50 with a total of 31 bids was a 10 1/2-inch "Olive Oyl" cookie jar marked U.S.A.
Selling for $860 with a total of 22 bids was a 10 1/2-inch "Popeye The Sailor Man" with corncob pipe, marked U.S.A.
Selling for $577.89 with a total of 24 bids was a rare 8 1/2-inch "Sweet Pea" cookie jar. The New Hampshire couple netted $2,323.39 from the sale minus eBay auction fees.
Also selling on eBay for another seller was an American Bisque "Cow Jumped Over The Moon" cookie jar, which sold for best offer of $475, and a 11 1/4-inch "Cowboy Boots" American Bisque cookie jar that was sold for best offer of $119.99.
A Massachusetts seller received 24 bids totaling $307.99 for a very rare American Bisque cookie jar named "Donut Chef." This jar is very rare to find today. The chef is the actual lid to the jar that sits on three doughnuts. The jar is worth much more than what the seller received.
