The Mid-Ohio Valley Players will conclude its 2010-2011 season with a production of "GI Jukebox."
The 1940s musical revue, by Rick Lewis, will be performed during the month of June at Players Theatre, 227 Putnam St., Marietta.
The show will be presented at 8 p.m. June 10, 11, 17, 18, 24 and 25 and 3 p.m. June 19. Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and students and $7 for youth. Tickets are available at www.midohiovalleyplayers.org and at Marty's Print Shop on Third Street in Marietta.
During World War II, Hollywood stars and starlets made it their duty to entertain "the boys." The show presents a night at the Stage Door Canteen filled with some of the best music of the twentieth century spanning big band, swing and Latin.
The cast features Sue Voycik Meredith, Michael Bigger, Sue Murdock and Gary Prater. It is directed by Jena Blair.
The Mid-Ohio Valley Junior Players will also present their final show of the season in August, "Let Your Hair Down, Rapunzel."
Auditions for the youth production will be 6 p.m. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday at the Players Theatre. The auditions are for boys and girls ages eight to 16.
The MOVP has finalized its schedule for the 2011-2012 season at Players Theatre. Next season's productions will include "The Complete Works of Shakespeare - Abridged" in September and October, "First Night" in January and February 2012, "Angel Street" in March 2012, "Look Homeward Angel" in April and May 2012 and "Jesus Christ Superstar" in June 2012.
