Harold and Joyce Miller of Marietta are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house planned at First Baptist Church on June 18 with family and friends.
They were married June 18, 1961, at the First Baptist Church in Marietta with the Rev. Paul J. Christensen officiating.
He is the son of Clifford and Lucille Miller, both deceased. She is the daughter of William and Schammie Johnson, both deceased.
He is retired from Marietta City Schools. She is employed with the Follett Corporation.
The couple have five children: Jana (Loren) Santiago of Elyria, Ohio; Julie (Todd) Harrop of Delaware, Ohio; Kyle (Susan) Miller of Marysville, Ohio; Kelly Bishop of Marietta; and Kristi (Aaron) Cowdery of Marietta.
They have ten grandchildren: Megan and Justin Santiago; Kelly, Katie and Ashley Harrop; Jared and Aaron Miller; Lindsey Bishop; and Peyton and Rowen Cowdery.
They are members of the First Baptist Church.
