Louis and Ruth Brooker of Marietta are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
They were married June 22, 1961, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Churchtown by the late Monsignor Charles F. Highland.
She is the daughter of the late Raleigh C. and Bertha Stille Doebereiner and he is the son of the late Clement and Lucy Bauerback Brooker.
The couple have four children: Maxine Best and her husband, Larry. of Marietta; Denver Brooker of Cleveland; Myron Brooker and his wife, Barbara, of Marietta; and Janice Brooker of Cincinnati.
They also have three grandchildren: Abby Jo Brooker and Justin and Nathan Best.
