Solvay workers hit 25 year mark

Six Solvay Advanced Polymers, L.L.C., employees recently completed 25 years of employment:

Dave Zimmer joined the Marietta plant in 1986 as a mechanic and is currently a shift supervisor. He lives in Whipple with his wife, Teresa.

Mike Dye joined the Marietta plant in 1986 as a mechanic and is currently maintenance reliability technician. He lives in Marietta with his wife, Jayne.

Nancy Horner joined the Marietta plant in 1986 as an administrative assistant and is currently deputy site HR manager for the Marietta plant and HR manager for the Greenville, S.C., and Orange, Texas, plants. Horner lives in Belpre with her husband, John. They have two children, Amber and Lakin; and a grandson, Bryce.

Tim Best joined the Marietta plant in 1986 as a mechanic and is currently a training and compliance lead. He lives in Marietta with his wife, Judy. Their family includes their four children, Kylee, Trent, Lacey and Corey, their son-in-law Chad, and their grandson Colin.

Jeff Hitt joined the Marietta plant in 1986 as a chemical operator. He lives in Parkersburg with his wife, Bev. They have three children, Andrea (John), Jenny (Don), and Lance; and two grandchildren, Trent and Bryce.

Mitch Watson joined the Marietta plant in 1986 as a chemical operator. He lives in Marietta with his wife, Dena. They have two children, Nathan and Audrey.
