Ray and Karen Crum of Caldwell will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary on Sept. 18.
On Sept. 18, 1971, Karen Augenstein, daughter of Jean Augenstein of Caldwell and the late Dale Augenstein, and Ray Crum, son of Virginia Crum of Summerfield and the late Raymond Crum, were united in marriage at Out Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Lowell. Father Batakolati officiated the ceremony. Genevieve (Crum) Kress and Steve Crum attended the couple.
She is a secretary at Caldwell Exempted Village Schools and he is retired from Mahle.
The couple have two children: Mary (Brian) Davis of Cumberland and Carol (Debbie) Crum of Zanesvile. They also have five grandchildren: Abby and Levi Crum, Emma and Hannah Davis, and the late Sarah Davis.
