Paul and Shelba J. Dowler of Barlow celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday, Sept. 9. They were married on Sept. 9, 1961, at the Barlow Presbyterian Church by the late Rev. E. J. Roberts.
He is the son of the late Herbert and Loretta Dowler. She is the daughter of Mildred McGregor Elliot and the late James McGregor.
He retired from DuPont Washington Works and she retired from the Ohio BMV.
The couple have one son, Norman K. Dowler, and his wife, Angela, who reside in Vincent. They have one daughter, Karen Y. Anstatt, and her husband, Daniel, of Vincent. They have two grandchildren: Jason A. Turner of Vincent and Lindsey D. Anstatt of Vincent. They have one great-granddaughter, Jaylynn Hayley Claire Turner of Vincent.
They celebrated their anniversary with a family dinner at the home of Karen and Daniel Anstatt given by their children.
