David and Marlene Tornes of 563 Maple Grove Rd., Waterford, 45786, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 30. They were married Sept. 30, 1961, at St. Henry's in Harriettsville, Ohio, by Father Pickard.
Mass will be said in their honor at St. Bernard's Catholic Church on Oct. 15.
He is the son of Ralph and Ida Tornes and she is the daughter of Clawrence and Juanita Zwick. He is retired and she is a homemaker.
They are the parents of Roberta Anderson, Denise Stehly, Rodney Tornes, Dennis Tornes, Greg Tornes, Michelle Schwendeman and the late Melinda Tornes.
The couple attend St. Bernard's Catholic Church and are members of the Waterford Grange and the Ohio Farm Bureau.
