Local bank's parent company announces 3rd quarter dividend

The board of directors of Third Street Bancshares, Inc., parent company of Settlers Bank of Marietta, has declared a dividend payment of $ 31 cents per share for the third quarter of 2011. This dividend represents a 3.33 percent increase in the dividend from the third quarter of 2010.

Third Street Bancshares chairman and CEO, Jim Meagle, said, "We are pleased to be able to continue our increases in dividend payments from one year to the next." It has been a challenge to keep profit solidly above our peer group average given soft loan demand and historically low rates. I am also happy to inform our customers and friends that Settlers Bank continues to receive a Five Star Rating from Bauer Financial, its highest rating, based on March 31, 2011 financial data. As always, we thank our loyal customers for their continued business, and the Settlers officers and staff for their hard work
