Tia Morgan Davis, of Waverly, W.Va., and Kevin Andrew Townsend Jr. of Williamstown, were united in marriage at 4:30 p.m. on July 30, 2011, at First Baptist Church of Williamstown. The double ring ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Jim Mike Ward.
The bride is the daughter of Tim and Tina Davis of Waverly and the granddaughter of Lonnie and Barb Tanner of Williamstown, and Eugene and Nancy Davis of Waverly.
The bridegroom is the son of Kevin and Mary Townsend of Williamstown, and the grandson of Ted and Janet Townsend of Williamstown, and Doris and the late Lowell Sims of Vienna, W.Va.
The bride wore a full length white ball gown with pearl and lace accents with a cathedral train. She wore red peep toe heels and wore the groom's grandmothers pearls for the ceremony. She carried a bouquet of red roses with pearl accents.
The maid of honor was Shianne Preston of Boaz, W.Va. She wore a red knee length dress and carried white and red roses with pearl accents. The bridesmaids were Kim Davis of Paden City, W.Va., Courtney Townsend, sister of the bridegroom, of Williamstown, Katy Dawson, cousin of bridegroom, of New Martinsville, W.Va., and Sara Townsend, cousin of bridegroom, of Pittsburgh, Pa. The bridesmaids wore red knee length dresses and carried white roses with pearl accents.
The flower girl was Kaylyn Emigh, cousin of the bride, of Parkersburg.
Serving as best man was Kevin Board of Williamstown. The groomsmen were Jeff Delancey of Parkersburg, Justin Wajda of Williamstown, Britt West of Parkersburg, and Travis Davis, brother of the bride, of Waverly. The ushers were Timothy Davis, brother of the bride, of Williamstown, Adam Alleman, cousin of the bridegroom, of Fayetteville, N.C., Jordan Alleman, cousin of the bridegroom, of Fayetteville, N.C., and Teddy Townsend, cousin of the bridegroom, of Pittsburgh, Pa.
The ring bearers were Isaac Joy, cousin of the bride, of Williamstown, and Josh Joy, cousin of the bride, of Williamstown.
Brian Wigal, of Williamstown, sang "Only God could love you more." Mariah Sims of Vienna, W.Va. was in charge of registering guests.
The reception was held at the American Legion of Williamstown.
The couple went to Clearwater, Fla. for their honeymoon where they went parasailing and deep sea fishing. They stayed at the Comfort Suites for their wedding night and the Holiday Inn Express during their honeymoon.
They are residing in Wheeling.
