Gale and Barbara Haught DePuy of Dart are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary. They were married Oct. 29, 1971, at Lawrence Baptist Church by the late Rev. Edwin McCloud.
He is the son of Karen McVay of Colegate Drive, Marietta, and the late Gale Clifford DePuy of Dart. He is the grandson of the late Floyd and Mary Bowersock DePuy of Dart.
She is the daughter of Dale and Phyllis Decker Haught of Shay Ridge Road.
The couple have five children, Tammy Layton and her husband, Dr. Ryan Layton, D.D.S. of Lower Salem, Teresa DePuy and her friend Robert Benton of Newport, Gale David DePuy II and his wife Rachel of Dart, Tracy Hines and her husband Kevin of Chillicothe, and Tina DePuy of Terre Haute, Ind.
They also have 11 grandchildren, Drew, Derek, Devin, Dawson and Denay Layton, Gabriel Benton, Carly and Tabitha Strickler, Gale David DePuy III, and Kenley and Grady Hines.
