Native of Marietta passes bar exam

Amanda J. Stacy, a native of Marietta, was successful in passing the July 2011 Ohio Bar Exam, which was administered in Columbus July 26 through July 28.

Stacy, along with other applicants who were successful on the examination and who have satisfied all of the Supreme Court's other requirements for admission, was sworn in during a special public session of the Ohio Supreme Court on Monday, Nov. 7, at the historic Ohio Theatre in Columbus.

Stacy is the daughter of Bill and Janet Stacy of Marietta and is a 2004 graduate of Marietta High School. She also received a bachelor of arts degree, majoring in psychology, with business management and environmental studies minors in 2007, and a master of arts degree in psychology in 2008, both from Marietta College, and is a 2011 graduate of the Ohio Northern University Claude W. Pettit College of Law, receiving a juris doctorate.

After being officially admitted to the Bar, Stacy will be practicing law as an associate attorney with the law firm of Barrett, Easterday, Cunningham & Eselgroth LLP in Dublin, Ohio.
