Melissa Jo-An Sterling and Nathaniel Jay Slaubaugh were united in marriage on Nov. 13 at River of Life church in Marietta. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. George Gaston.
The bride is the daughter of Mark and Sandra Sterling of Meadville, Pa. and Chris and Ruth Smithberger of Marietta. She is a 2002 graduate of Marietta High School and is certified in Phlebotomy through The Phlebotomy Training Center of Pittsburgh, Pa.
The bridegroom is the son of Jeff and Teresa Slaubaugh of Cleveland, Ohio and Doug and Cynthia Bailey of Walker, W.Va. He is a 2003 graduate of Parkersburg High School and is currently attending school for Electrical Engineering through Ashford University of Iowa.
The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father and given in marriage by her parents. The best man was Mitchell Wayne Hamilton of Parkersburg.
After a short honeymoon, the couple will reside in Marietta.
