Together with their parents, Kayla Sutton and Cody Barrett announce their engagement.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of David and Brenda Martin of Marietta and the late Rodney Sutton of Parkersburg. She is the granddaughter of Betty Reeves, the late Robert Reeves, Shirley Sutton, and the late Harold Sutton.
She is a 2006 graduate of Marietta High School. She also is a 2010 graduate of the University of Toledo with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Language Pathology. She is currently attending Marshall University where she will be graduating in August 2012 with a Masters degree in Communication Disorders.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Rod and Tammy Barrett of Davisville, W.Va. He is the grandson of Barbara Nichols and the late Charles Nichols, and the late Kenneth and Janice Barrett.
He is a 2006 graduate of Parkersburg South High School. He is employed at Lemon & Barrett's ATV and Cyclist Specialists in Mineral Wells, W.Va.
The couple has planned a wedding for Sept. 15, 2012 at Bethel Baptist Church in Lubeck, W.Va. with a reception to follow at the Shrine Building in Parkersburg.
