Together with their parents, Sommer Joy Hurst and Aaron Ross Coffman announce their engagement.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Bernard Hurst and Connie Dye of Marietta. She is the granddaughter of Hubert and Madeline Coss and the late Emma and Clifford Hurst. She is a graduate of Washington State Community College with an Associate of Liberal Arts degree. She is employed at Globe Metallurgical in Beverly, Ohio.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Chris and Sheila Coffman of Marietta. He is the grandson of Ralph and Dorothy Coffman and Raymond and Donna Keefer. He is a 2006 graduate of Ohio University with a Bachelor of Arts degree, and a 2010 graduate of the Ohio University School of Physical Therapy with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. He is currently enrolled in an orthopedic residency as he pursues an orthopedic specialist certification. He is employed at Mountain River Physical Therapy in Parkersburg.
The couple has planned a wedding for May 5, 2012, at Tunnel United Methodist Church, with a reception to follow at the Marietta Country Club.
