Jordan Nicole Phillips and Brandon Scott Jewett were united in marriage on May 28, 2011. The ceremony was held at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Pastor Kurt Busiek of Parkersburg officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Frederick and Rebecca Phillips of Belpre. She is the granddaughter of Roscoe and Pat Norris of Belpre and the late Donald and the late Barbara Phillips of Dayton. She is a 2004 graduate of Belpre High School and a 2008 graduate of The Ohio State University, Fisher College of Business with a degree in business administration in marketing. She is employed with Chase Bank in Columbus.
The bridegroom is the son of Susan Lindsey of Galena, Ohio, and Chris Jewett of Columbus. He is the grandson of Dottie Oliver and the late Charles Oliver of Columbus and Jean Fair of South Carolina and Ronald Jewett. He is a 2004 graduate of DeSales High School and a 2009 graduate of The Ohio State University, Fisher College of Business with a degree in business administration in accounting. He is employed by Chase Bank in Columbus.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted down the aisle by her father. The bride's dress was a princess strapless floor length French Alencon lace dress. Her earrings and bracelet were borrowed from each of her grandmothers. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of cream and white roses wrapped with white satin ribbon adorned with a gold rose pin from her husband's great-grandmother.
The maid of honor was Jamie Phillips, sister of the bride of Belpre, and matron of honor was Jessica Phillips Greene, sister of the bride of Cleveland. Bridesmaids were Brittany Jewett, sister of the bridegroom of Columbus; Christina Eliopulos, cousin of the bride of Belpre; Natalie Mehl of Columbus; and Rebecca Evans of Belpre. The bridesmaids wore strapless floor length eggplant dresses and carried hand-tied bouquets of small roses tied with satin ribbon.
Serving as best men were Joe Schmall and Scott Fisher, both of Columbus. Groomsmen were Rob Adams, J.R. Forqueen, Tom Hederick and Nick Bertsch, all of Columbus. Ushers were Matt Lyndsenmeyer of Columbus and Anthony Biegrow of Upper Arlington, Ohio.
Kim Vineyard of Belpre was the pianist. Holly Coats sang Ava Maria accompanied by Sarah Highland on the piano. Jonae Papac of Pittsburgh, Pa. read a passage from The Prophet.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held in the Parkersburg Art Center. The three-tiered white cake was adorned with cream filigree scrolls on the sides and the top was adorned with a bouquet in cream and sage flowers.
Following a honeymoon to Maui, Hawaii, the couple resides in Columbus.
